Bizarre
Tuesday 23rd May
I went to B&Q this evening and as I parked in the car park, I spied a couple (right in front of me) emptying their petrol mower into a fuel can by inverting the former over the latter splashing most of the fuel into the can, but some out onto the tarmac. I watched for a while, not quite comprehending what I was seeing. Then, once the petrol can was full, they proceeded to empty the rest of the petrol out onto the tarmac. I continued to watch, still not comprehending. I then figured I would probably be able to get my camera out and take a photo and they’d still be oblivious, so that’s what I did.
I’m still not sure that I understand. Good job no-one walked past with a lit cigarette. And yes, it was petrol, that was obvious from the fumes.

the only thing i can think of would involve putting diesel in it by mistake, taking it back to b&q for advice and being told to flush it out and…
neeer, they are probably just mad people who deserve to have a car full of petrol vapour explode with them inside on the way home. ciggie dear?

Either very stupid or very forthright (as in: bollocks, let’s just empty the bugger here, I don’t care what anyone says).
Or maybe they’d nicked the mower and used the petrol for their car…

I thought you were meant to be furtive when dumping things illegally?

I’d be tempted to say that they were so stupid that they were planning to return it saying that that they hadn’t use it.
Or maybe it was faulty and they wouldn’t take it back with petrol in it for them to get their refund?

It’s a pity someone didn’t dump a lit cigarette near them, I’d have liked to have heard their excuses to why they have 2nd degree burns to the A+E!
If you have their car reg and faces on the photo - drop it to the council/environmental agency - I’m sure they’d like a word with these two prats!

B&Q would probably be interested, too. I don’t think petrol and tarmac get on very well.

Perhaps they were returning the mower for a refund and didn’t want to return the mower full of petrol, so canned it instead?
The mower may have been faulty, so they had a grudge with B&Q and thought, “if I can’t keep the fuel, then no on will have it” Mmwwaahahahah?
Or maybe not!

They must have been very rich, pouring away petrol !!!!
That small puddle looks like £10 to start with.
Perhapse they light thier fires with ten pound notes as well?
Oh and for the record, petrol and tarmac do NOT go well together
(as most former mini owners will admit)
and as my other half keeps reminding me.
(as we step over the “gravel” section of our formerly tarmac drive)
