Beeping Truck Revisited
Wednesday 28th June
I have previously blogged about my desire to become a driver of little white beeping trucks. Well, I’m afraid I’m a fickle soul and have a new ambition. You see, on the way to Leicester on Saturday I spotted the übertruck. It’s still white, and it still has lights on, and I daresay it probably beeps, but it appears that this one runs on the road or rails…
How cool is that? It’s very cool, I tell you.
Now that’s what I call versatile… I wanna go! :-p
I wonder how fast it can go on rails?

Ha! I’ve driven one of them. Very peculiar having steering wheel when it’s completely pointless using it.

Great for avoiding queues on the M1, assuming it can off-road between the M1 and railway tracks

They are called road-railers…. you can collect their numbers and log them on http://www.ontrackplant.com/rr.php . I’ve logged a few on there.
