New Year
Sunday 31st December
Looking back
Well, New Year is almost upon us and it’s been an interesting 2006. A lot of it has been a bit of a haze, but I’ve certainly done quite a bit too:
- getting a first-place in a Worth 1000 photography competition
- driving a SMART car
- going wonky and getting back to normal again
- seeing some pretty young French ladies in the park
- learning to use studio lighting
- going to France for 24 hours
- Schweeden! Summer girls! ok… C64s really
- seeing an incident
- photographing some deers
- getting published on the intermaweb
- finding a picture of a goat in a tub/bucket/bowl
- going to Dungeness apparantly just before they decommission the power station.
Looking forward
It’s going to be a very interesting 2007. I hope the divorce can get sorted quickly, leaving more of the year free for both of us to move on. My plan for 2007 is to have an opinion amnesty. All those long-held beliefs are up for adjustment, starting with a ride in a BMW Mini on New Years Day.

You are a brilliant photographer stu.
Dungeness A and Sizewell A were indeed turned off today. The world’s oldest functioning sources of radioactive waste for generations to come to have to deal with.

All the best wishes for 2007 to you, Stu. Looking at your photographs, there has got to be a future in that. They are fantastic!
And as for the Mini test drive….come over to the dark side, come on

Happy New Year to you, and all your loyal readers!
Here’s to another 12 months of all we’ve come to enjoy: absurdity, technology, intrigue, pathos, and pretty pictures.
And the occasional pinnacles where all of these qualities are squeezed into one posting, just like you did with the goat in the “container”.

I remember when you went to Gosport with your new camera…..to think that I was witnessing a genesis!
Happy new year mate.

Perhaps it’s actually standing in a caprine coracle. Goats are omnivores so it’s not unreasonable to think that some of them have learned to fish.

Phantastic fotos! I wish you a wonderful new beginning in 2007 - per ardua ad astra (or is that something to do with the difficulty of buying a car?)

Gaaah BMW Mini?
Please no.
It won’t leak oil or have a rattling timing chain.
Hope everything else works out well.
