Making a Mockery
Tuesday 3rd July
Ever wonder why some people have no respect for the law? Well… this, found in the local paper, could certainly colour my view…

Mock ticket? What?
Wow… what a deterrent.

Well if that doesn’t sort that out then nothing will….
Do you think the same would work for terrorists??

“Oh my god, I’ve got a mock parking ticket! Whatever will I do?
Oh wait, I’ve just remembered… I don’t care”

I’m tempted to go and abandon my car on a double yellow line just to see what these tickets look like.

Leicester Mockery is a jolly good paper
2nd, we had Decriminalised parking here a couple of years ago, and if they go in heavy, the council get a bashing. If people know they will get a ticket if they continue parking illegally, they have nothing to complain about. Hence the mock tickets
3rd. any parking questions, ask me

I suspect (though don’t know for sure) that many more people are legally able to issue a mock ticket than are a real ticket. Makes sense to me.

It does make sense in that way… but it does also explain why the roads have been congested for ages and no-one gives two tits about parking on lines because absolutely _no-one_ has been giving out tickets for the last however long.
In fact… come to think of it, I haven’t seen a parking warden for over a year. At all. Anywhere.

Yeah, people who park like twats obviously don’t give a shit anyhow, but I do like the fact they are actually addressing this, correctly or not - It really winds me up when tyring to park and some goon has parked badley so cannot fit in… Grrr

Oh, they’re not talking about parking wonkily in a space, DoGGa, this is about stuff like leaving your car on a double-yellow line all day.

When I lived in Tanni Grey house, there was about 6 cars all over the double yellow lines which made it nearly impossible to drive into Union Street to park at my flat. I rang the police (0116 number, not 999) and told them there was easy money to be made, but they didn’t give a sh*t. They were more worried about the Fri night town goers. There priorities were probably right, but how would it have taken to book 6 cars when they knew where they were! Like Stu says, eveyone parks everywhere as nothing is done about it!

I agree with Dogga, we need people to sort out crap parking in legit spaces as well as just illegal parking.
Preferably with the use of a bulldozer.

Parking on double yellow lines should be a hanging offense.
Or at least the traffic warden, should be allowed to smash their lights in with a baseball bat.
