So, tonight I popped to a (not very) local bike supermarket to soak up some inspiration. Unfortunately, that means all the previous ideas have gone, and I want one of these - a (I kid you not) Sachs MadAss 50…
Ok… not quite suitable for a 3,500 mile tour… but what an ace machine!
That looks more like a gadget than a bike!

Yeah… some of the reviews say “expensive toy”. The 125cc version, though is motorway-legal and has a top speed of something like 55mph, so that’s a pretty fast toy. (Though very slow for a motorway-legal vehicle)

it looks like there’s something missing off it…. kind of a lot of empty space in the middle where big chunky manly looking bits of metal are supposed to be… or something

What’s missing is the fuel tank. Because the fuel goes in the frame.
Don’t worry all… I’m not _actually_ going to buy one. And if I do, it’ll be as a 2nd bike. But it really does look cool in the flesh. Stupid, but cool.
