Simply Stu Your Goat, Right Away

Windows

Wednesday 17th October

As found on Roger the blogger’s “Blog Roger” blog, this is a really neat tune made entirely from Windows sounds.

Breaking Windows

Reminds me of the track I made in 2002 when I wanted a Rainbow TV theme, but had only just installed my new PC… so, like Ms. O’Kneel’s track, I only had the default Windows samples to play with…

It’s nowhere near as accomplished as the former, though. Plus, I guess I cheated a little with chopping up the samples themselves.

  1. aaargh, youtube’s new embedded player sucks big time! it won’t download ahead of where it’s playing, which means I HAVE to listen to it in stilted 2.5 second bursts because of our poxy server!

  2. Yes. I just realised that this morning when trying to mp3 it.

I’ll change it to a link to the youtube page.

  5. I like the way they took the start up and closedown sounds and used them to create upward and downward emotions, in exactly the way MS must have had them painstakingly crafted to do… in other words, the artist has appreciated those sounds perfectly!
