Another one is Don’t write resignation letters when you’re pissed off with your boss; I learned that one at my first job

Haha. Or if you do… don’t send them!
When I left my last place, I wrote about 5 pages of resignation letter. Then I went to i-resign.com and wrote another one which said:
I think that was for the best

But why not?
Isn’t that a bit like saying ‘don’t think about things at night, just go to sleep like happy, ordinary people do’?

Thinking them is fine. But in your reduced consciousness you may post things you later regret.

Doing things you might regret and then not regretting them FTW!

Good advice, Stu. Things have a way of looking different in the morning light.

I wrote a moaning email to Worst Great Western last night. Their site would nt accept it. In the morning, I am glad I was unable to send it (terrible english for a start)

I once wrote a bitchy email about the MD to my friend - or so I thought. I mailed it accidentially to the MD - for those cases it pays to have a really good relationship with your IT department

It’s a bit like posting when drunk. It is both Bad and Wrong, and ultimately will lead nowhere good.

No, I didn’t, Rob. I haven’t managed to muster the motivation to go yet.

Everyone makes mistakes, Stu. Post a simple apology, if appropriate and vow not to make the same mistake again. And get your tire pressure thingy, okay? I won’t be able to sleep until I know you have the correct amount of air in your tires! (Yes, I can be very bossy. Ask Plume!)

Don’t worry, Debster… I know that I have the correct pressure - I went to the tyre pressure machine at the local garage. You can rest easy.
