A 9.6 mile walk around Derbyshire today, to bag the highest points in Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire. More on that non-sequitur later. For now a picture of Black Hill, which was quite black, and also pretty wet. Thank goodness for the paving of the Pennine Way.

A chap we bumped into from the local mountain rescue said he once found a guy up to his neck in the bog. He was so stuck they couldn’t pull him out… so it took three hours to dig him out. Crumbs.
