Dysphemism in Action

I’m currently learning Debussy’s “The Girl With The Flaxen Hair” for piano, which is very pretty and not too hard. I thought I’d have a look and see if there’s a story behind it which might help me get the most from it.
So, off to wikipedia like all the best researchers, where the first match for my search was:
“Dumb Blonde”
It’s all in the turn of phrase, isn’t it?

Actually, yes… I know one thing I’m absolutely rubbish at… making it to juggling clubs/conventions.
