Simply Stu Can You Tell Goat From Butter?

One Minute Past Midnight

Monday 10th April

You know when something ends up on your video box and you’re not quite sure why it was recorded, but it turns out to be good? Well that happened the other day. The recording was an eleven-minute short called One Minute Past Midnight. I won’t say anything about it because you can go and watch it over at the Channel 4 film site.

You’ll need Real player (or better still Real Alternative) to view it.

If you like it, then I’m very pleased. If you don’t, well you’ve only lost eleven minutes of your life!

  1. That was the bestest thing I’ve ever seen on telly for a loooooooooong time.
So, well, sad I suppose. In its funny way. Proper comedy has liberal doses of pathos and this was no exception. Almost literally cried laughing but then I am everso slightly squiffy.
Thanks Stu, that was almost cathartic. :)

  5. Oh dear. 8849m is harsh! Funny and good, but harsh.

I love the title, though. I believe Everest is 8848m, so the title is the elevation of the camera!

  6. That was superb Stu! I loooove stuff like that; it’s so simple, but clever, melancholic but, happy.
    Reminds me of Clerks:

  7. Oh yes, DoGGa… well aware of Clerks over here… and STILL waiting for the DVD to come out… all the others are on DVD, so why not Clerks? Ah well.

  8. I watched it on VHS last night Stu, as your mini film got me in the mood for it.
I forgot how clever and funny it was.
You can get it on DVD from Amamzon.co.uk, but only in region 1 NTSC, so if you haven’t got a multiregion player + compatible TV you is buggard.

  9. Yeah… multiregion isn’t a problem, but I think NTSC is. We don’t have a VHS player :(

I assumed (probably incorrectly) that since the others had all been released, that Clerks would be eventually. Maybe they’re waiting for the 10th Anniversary box set or something.

Oh… the 10th Anniversary has gone already.
