Caveat Tattooee
Thursday 21st January
I am not one to laugh at others’ misfortune. Unless their misfortune is
a) caused by stupidity or lack of research
b) painful
and
c) permanent

I’m not sure exactly what this particular chap wanted his tattoo to say, maybe “World Peace” or “Love For Ever” or maybe he was going for “Strength of Many Men”.

You can clearly see from the closeup that what he got was 馬鹿外人 (baka gaijin) which means “Stupid Foreigner”.
Japanese-literate Tattoo Artist WIN!
Was he Japanese literate, or was someone who put together the tattoo design book some point in the dim and distant past the literate one… meaning that there could conceivably be hundreds of people out there with this tatt?

based on the size and location of this tattoo, I don’t think it meets all the criteria for you to laugh at the misfortune. Based on personal experience a tattoo like that wouldn’t hurt (except maybe emotionally if they read your blog).

Could be worse – could say “I interfere with goats”

My view of tattoos in a nutshell – or on a nutcase. Whichever.
