It's QUIZ TIME!

Friday 12th February

The other day, I exclaimed SPORTYSOFT at H, who chuckled because that was supposedly the name of a type of hat as sold by the Toraya Hat Shop in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. We couldn’t for the life of us remember the names of the other types of hats. “BASEBALL CAP”? No. “TOP HAT”? Hmm… maybe, but I don’t think so.

Below, I have pictured the shop’s sign with all four types of hat shown. If you can name the other three types of hat correctly, you will win fame and glory for yourself. Good luck!

  1. Flipping heck, google’s fast! At 5:38, I decided to see if I could find the answer with google image search. Typed “toraya hat ikebukuro” and there is my blog at the top of the search, with this entry.

ONE MINUTE and it’s already in google!

  2. They _should_ be Top Hat, Stetson, Trilby and Panama, but if Panama becomes Sportysoft, Top Hat could be Posh Hard, Stetson could be Ginger Cowboy and Trilby could be Scary Gangster.

Hmph. I’ve put some stuff online for my dad about his Amateur Radio stuff in St Vincent (http://alistairsserver.no-ip.org/J88DR/) ;) but Google is ignoring me again :(

  10. The shop is right here. There are lots of people who like Fuakin next door.

Unfortunately, streetview isn’t detailed enough to give you the answers :)

… and if you look a few doors to the left you’ll see “Lazy Sports”, which is a fascinating oxymoron.
