Deyail

Haha… I’ve just been looking through my ’smile’ email folder and found this one. It’s a real advert, by the way… not a joke…
Wanted - Web Programmer
A programmer is required for implementing a new content-management web-site. Good attention to deyail is a must.
Climate Change
Monday 30th October
It’s funny how we were all damned tree-hugging hippies when we* were campaigning for this stuff 20 years ago. However, now there’s an economic impact, we can’t possibly afford to waste another moment.
(*yes, I mean ‘we’ as in me and my family and friends)
Rabbit
Saturday 28th October
In my opinion, an excellent short (8 min) animation by Run Wrake. A bit creepy, maybe, but I just love the style and soundtrack…
Update: some fascinating background material here.
Better
Friday 27th October
I seem to be better. This morning, I still woke late, but was feeling pretty human by around 10am. If I hadn’t previously booked the day off as holiday, I would probably have made an effort and got up on time for work. But since it was a holiday, I used it for further relaxation.
Then a good thrash around the badminton court this evening - I needed that!
Poor Excuse
Thursday 26th October
I was amused by this BBC News Story about a speed-camera-fitter being caught speeding. It’s not the irony that amused me though, it was the excuse…
“Marjinder Singh Sagoo, 29, from West Bromwich, admitted doing 76 mph in a 50 mph zone near Mold, Denbighshire.”
“In a letter to the court, he said he was concentrating on getting home to his wife and must have missed the road sign.”
Ok… so he missed the road sign where the limit went from, what? 80mph to 50mph? 100mph to 50mph?
Silly man.
Poorly
Thursday 26th October
Boooooo.
I’m poorly. This is day three. I can’t keep in a non-horizontal position for more than about 20 minutes at a time.
The worst bit… I’m supposed to be going to see Lordi tonight at Rock City and I’m going to miss out.
I’ve only been looking forward to that for about 4 months. Every day. Saying “Woohoo! I’m going to see Lordi”.
Ah well… at least Sarah’s found someone for the spare ticket. And if I’m better tomorrow (which, I may add, I had better bloody well be), I can cancel my ‘getting over the Lordi gig’ day off and go in to work anyway. Hurrah! Urm…

Cool
Monday 23rd October
It feels good to go to a band’s website to see what they’re up to and be met with a picture you took…

Wheee! I’m almost starting to feel like a photographer.
