I had an errand to run in H’s car last night.

I unlocked it, opened the door, climbed in, put the key into the ignition (after examining it carefully because I’m unfamiliar with the location and orientation of the ignition keyhole), and started the engine.

The fuel needle was pointing at E, and there was a little orange light on with a picture of a fuel pump.

Oh bum.

Then I remembered… the errand I was running was to fill it up with fuel while she was cooking tea*. Dur.

* or was it dinner?

“Erm… oops, we mean the 29th of May, not the 9th of June.”

That’s more like it. Maybe they’re actually using a van.

It’s a really good job that I sliced a chunk out of my left thumb on Sunday afternoon. It meant that when I badly burnt it on a hot baking tray later, the plaster protected a good portion of it and I only ended up damaging a small area.

Swam my first non-stop 1000m last night. Ow.

In other news, I’m usually not one for buying new things, not when the old things are ‘perfectly good’. But this video editing is painful. Because I now have a higher-quality camera, my computer is really struggling to keep up with the editor.

You may have to wait a while for the Ben Nevis video. I do have the first 90 seconds done, though.
